Center Enamel Provides Glass-Fused-to-Steel Tanks for Textile Industry Parks Wastewater Treatment Project in Ethiopia
Center Enamel is proud to announce the successful completion and operational status of our latest industrial wastewater treatment project for textile industry parks in Ethiopia. This project underscores our commitment to providing innovative and sustainable solutions for wastewater management in industrial sectors.
Project Overview
By November 2018, Center Enamel had successfully installed 23 Glass-Fused-to-Steel (GFS) tanks across three wastewater treatment plants in Ethiopia. These state-of-the-art tanks, with a total storage capacity of 31,000m³, are now fully operational and are set to play a crucial role in managing and treating industrial wastewater generated by various factories within the textile industry parks.

Application and Benefits
The GFS tanks provided by Center Enamel will be utilized for both storing water required for production processes and treating sewage generated from the textile factories. This dual functionality ensures efficient water management and environmental compliance, contributing significantly to the sustainability goals of the industrial parks.
Key Advantages of Glass-Fused-to-Steel Tanks
Superior Corrosion Resistance: The glass coating on the steel surface provides excellent protection against corrosion, ensuring long-term durability and reliability.
Chemical Resistance: The tanks are resistant to the chemicals present in industrial wastewater, maintaining their structural integrity and preventing contamination.
Low Maintenance: The non-porous glass surface allows for easy cleaning and maintenance, reducing operational costs and ensuring consistent performance.
Rapid Installation: The modular design and precision engineering of the tanks facilitate quick and efficient installation, minimizing project timelines and disruptions to operations.
Commitment to Zero Liquid Discharge
A key objective of the wastewater treatment plants is the realization of zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems. Center Enamel’s GFS tanks are integral to achieving this goal, as they ensure that all wastewater is treated and reused within the industrial parks, eliminating any discharge into the environment. This not only helps in conserving water but also supports the environmental sustainability initiatives of the textile industry.
Center Enamel’s involvement in the Textile Industry Parks Wastewater Treatment Project in Ethiopia highlights our expertise and dedication to providing advanced solutions for industrial wastewater management.
