Advanced Storage Solutions for Wastewater Treatment
For the Hungary Wastewater Treatment Plant, Center Enamel provided six Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks, including one large reactor and four smaller reactors, along with a sludge buffer tank. These tanks were essential for the efficient management of wastewater and sludge during the treatment process.
Why Glass-Fused-to-Steel Tanks Are Ideal for Wastewater Treatment:
Superior Corrosion Resistance: Wastewater environments can be highly corrosive due to the presence of chemicals and organic materials. Center Enamel’s GFS tanks offer exceptional corrosion resistance, making them ideal for long-term use in harsh environments.
Low Maintenance: The smooth, non-porous glass coating makes GFS tanks easy to clean and maintain, helping to reduce operational costs and downtime in wastewater treatment facilities.
Rapid Installation: The modular, bolted design of our GFS tanks allows for quick and efficient installation, ensuring the project timeline was met without compromising quality.
Durable and Reliable: The fusion of glass and steel creates a highly durable surface, ensuring the tanks can withstand the rigors of daily use in wastewater treatment plants, where conditions can be challenging.
Key Applications in the Hungary Wastewater Treatment Plant
Main Reactor Tanks: These reactors are critical in the treatment process, where wastewater undergoes biological and chemical reactions to break down contaminants. The largest tank, with a diameter of 22.17 meters and height of 6.6 meters, serves as the primary reactor, while the four smaller tanks (Ø7.64m x 5.4m) support the process.
Sludge Buffer Tank: The sludge buffer tank (Ø3.82m x 6.6m) plays a key role in storing treated sludge before it is processed further. This tank is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the sludge management process in the plant.
International Standards and Quality Assurance
Center Enamel’s Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks meet stringent international standards, including ISO 9001, AWWA D103, and OSHA, ensuring the highest levels of performance, safety, and environmental sustainability. The tanks used in the Hungary Wastewater Treatment Plant were designed and built to withstand the demands of a modern wastewater treatment facility, with a focus on long-term durability and efficiency.
